Connecting laptop to pc through home hub

Post by Gbaitey »

Hi there I have BT home hub and have got my main pc wired to the BT home hub and my laptop wireless, both work fine on the internet but I would also like my laptop to be able to connect to the other pc as the pc has a large hard drive and all my music stored on there.

I have tryed running the home network thing on both pc's but noticed when i do this the network controller is listed as unknown  , surely both should know it's through bt's home hub eh ??????

Ensure that the PC and labtop can ping each other, also allow file sharing on firewall if you enabled it on PC or labtop. Then take a look here on how to do simple file sharing or share file with user/group permissions.

Good luck..
