Problem :( Pls help!

Okay the other day my phone line went down and I called the phone line company to come and fix it - and they did, they sent a technician today. Apparently the lines to my house were brittle and broke at the router box for my area. Therefore they had to install new wires for my line. Now here is the ...

Been here a couple of times. :(

I have Bell Sympatico HSE. My speeds are constant 2485/660 on a speakeasy speed test. My Caps are 3000/800 so I'm only getting 80% of my total bandwith. :irate:

Is it possible to squeeze out anymore??

Can someone be so kind enough to post the link to one of Mnosteele's old posts regarding how to obtain your optimum RWIN. I've tried searching for it, but I can't seem to find it :irate:

And just out of curiosity, does this formula really work in helping your connection? :thumb:  :rotfl:

Question =/

I managed to calculate my RWIN maually as described in msnosteels tips.

(Cap 960 x 124ms)/8 = 14880

14880 /1440 (MSS) = 10.3333333333 or 10

14880 *10 = 148800 is Optimal RWIN.

My question is where exactly do I place this value under Cablenut? I've placed in the Default Receive Window, however ...

1. Your ISP, their caps and type of connection.

Bell Sympatico HSE DSL (Caps: 960/120)

2. Your maximum anticipated latency.

311.666ms

3. RWIN that you found with the formula.

= 960*311.7= 37404
= 37404/1460= 25.619
= 26*1460= 37960

Perfect RWIN =37960

4. Did your speed improve?
I did 5 tests ...
