ok!

One tip for testing:
the result will not be obvious if you test just one thread.
try to do 10 speed tests at same time, and add the values together.

You can download a free multi-threads download manager called NetTransport and try to use it to download a 100mb file with 10 threads. this is ...

TCPInitialRtt and "Segments Retransmitted"

if your "Segments Retransmitted" is huge number(more than 1/4 of "Segments Received"), try to increase the value of TCPInitialRtt (DWORD) in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{#Interface}

Default is 3000 (Dec.), try 5000 or more.

If you want to add a ramdisk to increase your browsing speed, why not use Netscape 7?
NS7 can make a RAM cache itself for browsing.
I set the 32768mb RAM cache, and 32768mb HD cache.

After I spent whole day on the problem, I finally found a solution.
1. Open Regedit.exe
2. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Conferencing\RRCM
3. Add DisableWinsock2 = 1 (DWORD)

Done.

yes, i'm thinking about combining two NICs together in order to increase throughput.
I think dual network chips may help on throughput or response time.
However, the only thing i could find is NLB. I wonder if there will be a kind of technology can do the combination, like Diamond's Shotgun(TM).
