Ip address
This is a simple question, probably easily answered.
I have 2 computers (WinMe and Win95) connected to a Linksys befsr41 router. It works perfect but I was just wondering if I want to host a game, I would need my IP but my IP is blocked by the router.

In the troubleshooting tab it's a bunch of "Disable" instead of Enable. So, I checked the "Disable System Restore." Restarted. I still cannot delete the _RESTORE folder (it still says Access is Denied) but instead of the 2.5gig it's now a meer (sp?) 2meg... that's a freakin huge difference...

WinMe Problem
There is a C:\_RESTORE folder in the c drive. This, I take, is suppose to help backup certain files. The problem I have is the folder is 2.5gig (yes, 2500meg) big and I am 100% certain that those 2.5gig are junk. No matter what I do I get a "Access is denied." It is a hidden folder and when I look ...

WinME and IE5.5 problem
I upgraded to the lastest IE5.5 (why? I wish I knew. I wish I didn't do it!) and now there's a "conflict" in the computer. The problem is the keyboard setting. I have 3 different languages set (Eng, Fr, and Ger) and whenever I start the computer I ALWAYS get this "Indicator: Application is already ...

At home in TO, Rogers is ok. If you had asked me a few months ago, I would've said it sucks so much even 56K beats it. My area was under some "main server" problem that caused my connection to hang. Took me over a month to call them and varify the problem, since that day, I haven't had any problems ...

Win95 and USB
I have a computer at home running on Win95. The cpu itself has 2 USB port. I know that Win95 doesn't support USB (if it's OEM). I downloaded an updated patch, I'm not sure if it worked. I have an optical mouse that uses USB port (it came with a PS/2 plug) and I tried the USB port. No responds. Is ...

Mouse problem
My mouse keep dying off! Even when I restart the computer, it doesn't detect the mouse. If I wait for a few hours later and start the computer, it detects again. Is there a reason why?? It's a Microsoft Intellimouse (it has the stupid wheel). I dont think it's the ball because sometimes I clean it ...

For the 4 way splitter... what are the other 3 for? If they're for TV. You may want to try to get an uneven splitter which could give the cable modem a better signal. I have a 3 way splitter at home and it's split into 7-7-4 (I think those are the numbers). The 7s are for the TVs and the 4 is to the ...

Oh yea... those pesky outages... I'm not in Toronto right now but a few weeks back we had (old Shaw area) problems and the tech guy came and found out that the problem was on their main server. It's better now and I just hope there's no outage... if it does, I am really considering Bell high speed ...
